This is old, but I thought, "hey might as well post it!"

So Jemina Pearl has 174 followers on her blog, wow. This world sometimes, let me tell ya, I know my blog is pretty shitty and boring, but damn world, Jemina Pearl's blog?? Jemina Pearl's blog????? Let me sum up her last few posts:

"I got a nintendo. I play nintendo. I beat some guys at nintendo. I talk trash while playing nintendo. My boyriend brought over cupcakes for my birthday, he's so awesome. He put candles in the cupcakes. We went to a steak dinner!"

Exciting!!! Jemina Pearl lives a truly fascinating life!!! You would think she would have something more interesting to talk about, she recorded a song with Iggy Pop for goodness sake. Some peoples kids.

Onto more exciting news, I went to PDX POP NOW!! Good times! The style at the event may have been my favorite part of the whole shindig. I like to think I am up on style to a certain extent, but after this weekend I have concluded that I am not. Here are some observations:

Mustaches are the new American Apparel. Do the ladies dig the mustache??? If so I'm about to get to work.

People with tattoos outnumber people without tattoos

V-necks are the new hipness. I remember I wore a v-neck to school in like 8th or 9th grade and everyone called me gay, it's funny, the hip folks just take clothing that jocks or whomever call(ed?) "gay" and just adapt that style into the new fad. Look at the trends, tight pants, neon clothing, v-necks, etc. etc. (I can't think of anything else, oh gawd!)

White guys who are fat and and not very attractive by societal standards and probably don't get many ladies are way more skilled at spitting a verse (rapping as it's called) than white guys who are fit and stylish and probably get lots of ladies. (Animal Farm compared to Breakfast Mountain. Brother Ali compared to any other white guy rapping)

The jocks will almost always get the skinny (very attractive by societal standards) girls and the hipsters will get the normal/a little overweight/what the doctor says is a good weight (yet still attractive) girls.

Going to school at Reed College would probably be like PDX POP NOW everyday just without the music. This would probably be pretty fun.

PDX POP NOW is cool, but it would be way better if they staggered the sets (a set indoors then a set outdoors then a set indoors) compared to the protocol they have in place right now (3 sets indoors then 3 sets outdoors)
